Prospect Park Studio – Permanently Close

On June 1st 2008, I opened my first art studio located in Prospect Park, NJ. Just one month shy of 11 years we closed our doors yesterday. Why you might ask? Because of a very common reason, the building is going to get converted into apartments.

I started that location literally one small wall at a time and it grew into something I never could’ve imagined. It was pretty rough conditions but over the years we transformed it into a pretty rad place.

We’ve had so many good memories in that building from the amazing view of NYC, long standing ping pong tournaments, over the top Halloween parties, countless grill outs, an epic swing, nerf gun battles, jams, hula hooping, a sweet projector to play wii, stream live concerts and watch movies on, lots of construction and deconstruction and long conversations about art, life and music. I will carry all these great memories and all the people who graced the studio walls with their presence both good and bad.

Luckily, I was able to relocate most of the P Parkers to my other location on the 2nd floor in Passaic, NJ. All while expanding to 7 brand new spaces in the same building on the 3rd floor. Which I am proud to announce filled up rather quickly.

While it is sad to see the other location go, I think having the entire NP family under one roof will be great for our community of artists.

Thank you for all the love and support over the years!
