Artist Statement-

Fascia is the connective tissue that binds the body’s internal structures together. My work explores muscle tissue, layers of fascia, and the notions of flexibility through the format of jewelry. I combine my perspective of the body as an art jeweler with my understanding of the human form as a massage therapist. My pieces relate to the physical forms of bodily structures interior and exterior, macro and micro, and investigate the body’s strengths and limitations through adornment. I invite the wearer to interact with the work by compressing, pulling, and stretching the material.
